Our Concerns About the South Bronx, Ms. Locker's Class
Hello scholars! We have talked about environmental and health issues that affect out community here in the South Bronx. Use the comment section to list how environmental issues affect your daily life.
My biggest concern about the South Bronx, these days is students that are very highly educated being influenced by other people bigger than them. Another concern that has me worried are the drug dealers. You don't want to be influenced by these people, you should stay in school and get a higher education so you can go to college. That is why we are in school. We are not in school to waist our time and not do anything with our lives. We are the ones who should make a change in our world. WE SHOULD BE ABOVE THE INFLUENCE! -- Maleena

i think as a student we should have more green centers and that every school should come together and have a press about having pretii flowers n pretii butterfly. i think we should also have a donation and help make our environment a better place.
My concern is smoking because many people smoke and die.My aunt smokes and she has a kid and sometimes she smokes in front of her and I am scared for her.Rebecca
My concern is that in this environment is all this drug dealers and killers coming to little kids. Also since I have to walk home I am scared that someone is gonna follow me and kill me or jump me. In my community I would want to see more parks , more trees and flowers.Elizabeth D.
some of the concerns that I have the south Bronx is that the types of food that give us can make us have diabetes and kill us. they could of given us healthy food and not bad. but when you go to Manhattan for example that the have the best foods and healthy. another reason i do not like my community is that our building and the garbage. when you go other barrow its all nice and clean with good people. that's what i want my community to be.
Me Uchenna believe that the main problem in south Bronx is gangs and drugs. The reason why everyone concern is because half of the time a parents child will be gang bangers and drug dealers. What the community should do is try to stop your child from these bad things and make him a success in his or her life.
My biggest concern about the south Bronx is that we are not cleaning up the place and leaving trash on the floor and that's not the way we respect the environment and that's not the way the environment is supposed to be treated so that's why i am not OK with whats the people of America and we should have better INFLUENCE STIRTON PATTERSON
